There are around 2,250 businesses located in the Oadby and Wigston Borough Council area and around 4,500 businesses are registered in the Borough. Not all of these will be in established commercial locations, be that in our town centres or on our industrial estates.
This Schedule is therefore not a complete list of businesses in the Borough but is intended to be a working document that allows us to see the main businesses, their location, on-line presence and, over time, their types and other information. As this document is used, commented upon and update, it will become a resource that can be used to support businesses and target them more specifically, as well as allow the Council to monitor and gauge any impact because of relocations, redevelopments and new investment.
